Character Name: Embry Moore
How long have you been coming to Sleepy Hollow? First started coming to Sleepy Hollow in 2006.
How often are you on Furc and in SH? Daily, usually between 9AM-3PM (PST) and from around 10:30-1AM. Or all day if I don’t work.
Two ways we can reach you: MSN: Kia382@hotmail.com or AIM: TheChainsOfLight
Two other players we can get in touch with as references: Indocile [can find her on Ruins as well] & Evander
Are you confident enough in your ability to follow staff and dream rules that you would agree to a lifetime ban if caught breaking one?: Absolutely. I’ve never had any issue following dream rules and have never been addressed by a dream’s staff for negative reasons.
Do you have any relevant experience or skills? I’ve never staffed in a dream, so I don’t have any experience in that aspect. Aside from that, I’m generally a patient person and have no problem with taking a logical, unbiased view on situations.
Describe what you would do in the following situations:
• Someone whispers you and tells you that Im2Sexxxy has blocked their den and is laying there spamming profanities.
I would contact Im2Sexxxy privately and inform them that they are violating some of our dreams rules, which rules they need to be reminded of and ask that they refrain from repeating this behavior again or risk further action.
• Im2Sexxxy returns three days in a row and continues to annoy people, but has stopped actually breaking rules.
Continuing to annoy others repeatedly would be a form of harassment, which is against the rules, though it would likely depend, too, on what they were doing that annoyed others. If they are purposely doing it, then it would need to be addressed as their last problem was. If they persist, I would eject them. Further issues would be an overall staff issue.
• CleverSnob and a good friend of yours got into a serious debate about politics. Your friend has resorted to immature tactics in trying to win, provoking some snotty remarks from CleverSnob. They whisper you, wanting you to come and warn CleverSnob to be nice or to eject him.
I would tell my friend that they have provoked CleverSnob and should refrain from egging them on as it will potentially lead to further issues between the both of them. In addition, simply being ‘snotty’ isn’t breaking a rule and unless they’ve broken a rule, there is no reason to give them a warning.
• NoSeriously started a roleplay, but Love2BHated showed up and insulted their post out of character. NoSeriously got mad and posted a threat to report Love2BHated.
Love2 would need to be informed that disrespecting other dream members like that is not tolerated and is a violation of our rules. Inform them that, should they continue to be a problem, they risk further action. As for NoSeriously, they likely should simply have asked Love2 to stop insulting them. Would inform them that next time, the best course of action would be to ask the other person to stop and, should the offender persist, contact staff about the issue rather than threatening [and possibly provoking] the other person.
• Another staff member filed a complaint against you in the forum.
There is nothing I can do about this. If there is a problem with something I have done, I am confident that it will be dealt with properly.
